TAP
SUNDAY is Vocations Sunday — and what better Sunday to remind the congregation of the Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund? It is not too late to give to this year’s appeal, but time is running out. Running in, though, is what Stuart Mair (News, 20 March) of St Francis of Assisi’s, Meir Heath, Stoke on Trent, has in mind for TAP. He reports that there has been great enthusiasm in the benefice for sponsoring him in the Highland Fling Race (in a little under three weeks’ time) and West Highland Way Race. So far, more than £200 has been pledged. CT readers can join in by emailing pledges to letters@ churchtimes.co.uk. Please use the Gift Aid form published in the paper on 28 March, and in the special TAP leaflets (still available: email as above). We will print it again next week. Help a vocation to reach the finishing line. Send to TAP Fund, G. J. Palmer & Sons, 16 Blyburgate, Beccles, Suffolk NR34 9TB. Charity cheques are welcome. |
